Guests of Honor

Check out our amazing AOD 2015 Guests of Honor line-up! Each guest is a specialist in their field, with years of industry experience. They are hosting talks and meet-ups about their work, discussing topics past, present, and (where contractually possible) the future!

Ken Pontac

Happy Tree Friends, Sonic (Lost World), LazyTown

Dear AOD,

You’ve had me as a Guest of Honor for the past ELEVEN YEARS. That’s kind of amazing and totally humbling. Let’s put that in perspective: Some of the attendees weren’t even BORN when I gave my first panel, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston had just split up, and I was still using MySpace. From my very first appearance I was struck with the joy and excitement of not only the fans, but of your fabulous staff who, year after year, have taken care of me and made me welcome and have turned AOD into a mini vacation that my lovely nurse wife Susan and I (along with Whistle the Wonder Dog and Little Mickey Blues Eyes) look forward to year after year. I kid you not, as I type this the Beatles song “In My Life” just came up on my 60’s compilation and I have something in my eye and I have to stop typing now. love you guys.

Oh, and, if anybody reading this wants to see my credits, just go to It’s pretty much all there.

Marianne Miller

Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Sword Art Online
Voice Actor

Marianne very rarely stops talking, and once she realized she could make money off it, life became even sweeter.  At the ripe age of 19 she was cast in Fullmetal Alchemist and the Conquerer of Shamballa, and from there went on to work on animation and video game projects such as Monster, Fate/Zero, Moribito: Guardian of the Sacred Spirit, Zebraman, Tweeny Witches, Avalon Code, Squid Girl, and Dragon Age: Warden's Fall, among others. Some of her more notable roles are Kyosuke Kamijo in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Recon in Sword Art Online, Young Kiritsugu in Fate/Zero, Braxton in the successfully kickstarted Cryamore, and Kai in the Wizart Animation telling of Hans Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen.

Martin Billany (aka Little Kuriboh)

YuGiOh: The Abridged Series
Video Creator/Voice Actor

Martin has been making internet based parody videos since 2006. His most popular works to date are Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged, the original abridged series, and Naruto The Abridged Comedy Fandub Spoof Series Show.  Since then he's recently been making strides into the professional voice-over world, having been cast in such projects as Heroes of Newerth and K-On: The Movie, with more projects on the horizon.  Originally from England, Martin has wormed his way into the Los Angeles acting scene and despite the beard is remarkably approachable. Just don't ask him where his new episode is.

Noelle Stevenson

Comic Artist and Writer

Noelle Stevenson is a comic artist and a writer for comics and TV. She has been nominated for a Harvey Award, and was awarded the Slate Cartoonist Studio Prize for Best Webcomic in 2012 for her original webcomic Nimona. A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, Noelle is the co-writer of Lumberjanes and currently writes for Disney's Wander Over Yonder. She lives in Los Angeles.

Robbie Daymond

New Sailor Moon (Tuxedo Mask)
Voice Actor

Robbie is frequently cast in voiceover work for traditional animation, commercials, film, television, audiobooks and videogames. Though he is a long-time fan of the genre, he is relatively new to performing in the world of Anime and is very excited for his first major role in an anime series to be a character as epic as Tuxedo Mask.

Wenqing Yan (aka Yuumei)

Artist and Designer

Known more commonly by her artist name Yuumei, Wenqing Yan is most recognized for her works dealing with the environment, social science and cyberculture.  Her most notable works include “1000 Words”, about family, and the power of artistic expression; “Knite”, focused on the plight of China's starless skies; and “Fisheye Placebo”, a story about fighting censorship in an authoritarian regime.

Although the majority of her art is in digital media using Paint Tool SAI and Photoshop, she is also experienced and skilled in traditional media, including pencils, ballpoint pen and watercolours.  Yuumei's most recent project is Axent Wear, an innovative and fashionable pair of headphones with an integral pair of speakers.
